Tiger’s eye is a metamorphic, chatoyant gemstone, primarily known for its golden-brown, striped appearance and silky luster. It is a variety of quartz formed through the alteration of fibrous crocidolite into silica and iron oxide, giving it a high sheen similar to a cat’s eye.

Citrine is a popular, durable, and affordable yellow-to-orange variety of quartz, ranging from pale lemon to deep golden-brown or reddish-orange hues. Often called the “merchant’s stone” for its association with prosperity, it is a transparent stone with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. While natural citrine is rare, most commercial citrine is created by heat-treating amethyst or smoky quartz.
